EHEMS Offline to Upgrade to Fibre Broadband
Apologies all but it seems that, although I planned to upgrade the internet when the server was offline tonight, the powers that be have disconnected the old service, so I will have to upgrade now.
Consequently, the server will be offline whilst I reconfigure the router etc.
The website will be updated when the upgrading procedure is completed.

New Forum for EHEMS!
There is a new forum for the Essex Home Ed Minecraft Server. A place for you to ask and answer all and any minecraft related questions.
Members can sign up to the forum with an email address of their parent's choosing. Please send an email to us, at feedback@eheminecraft.co.uk, telling us your (or your child's) minecraft name when you sign up to the forum, to help us to ensure that only members join.

September EHEMS Meet-Up Cancelled
Due to a clash with another outing taking place on 26th September, we will be cancelling this months EHEMS get together.
Apologies to anyone that hoped to come along. If enough of you request a desire to meet still (you can email us at feedback@eheminecraft.co.uk), we could still go ahead. Try to let us know over the weekend if this applies to you though please.

Fibre Optic Broadband... Here We Come!
Good news guys, the server will soon be moved to a fibre optic broadband connection, meaning faster speeds and a smoother server :-)
The date of transfer, to the improved internet connection, is yet to be confirmed but we'll update you in due course.

New Site Admin, Photos Of Post Office
Hello Everyone,
It's Mortaxe3 posting!
Gaynor has let me be a new admin on the site. :)
Here are photos and the location of the new post office for players that are not OP's.
This is only for plyers that are not OP's, so if you are an OP, please don't get a post box here.
If you want one just put a sign above it with your name on.
It can be found in Zone 2, at the co-ordinates: X = 12, Y = 67, and Z =85.

New Post Office in Zone 2
There is now a new post office for new members of the server. The new Post Office can be found in Zone 2, at coordinates x:12 y:67 z:85. Picture to follow.
Existing members, that are OP1 and above, can continue to use their PO box, in the starter zone.

EHEMS Updated to 1.8
Good news guys, the Essex Home Ed Minecraft Server has now been updated to 1.8!
There are lots of changes afoot with this update, such as the addition of new blocks, items and commands. More detailed information can be seen here: 1.8 changes.
To access the server, you will need to update your profile, when starting minecraft, to use 1.8 or the latest build.
We'd love to hear your thoughts on the new update, if you'd like to email them to us at feedback@eheminecraft.co.uk. Please say if you would like us to shre them on the website too if you do email us.

Server Update to 1.8 postponed until after 10pm
Wouldnt you know it,updating the srver has been rather less straigt forward than I would have liked, so I will be completing the update tonight after server shutdown at 10pm.
Until then, you can continue to enjoy 1.7.9 on EHEMS for, hopefully, one final day.

Server Offline to update to 1.8!!!
As you may know, the hotly anticipated 1.8 version of minecraft is finally available :-D
The server will thus be offline until around 7.30pm, so we can update it to 1.8 too.
