Law Board Created on EHE Minecraft Server

Our thanks to Mortaxe3, who has designed and constructed a new law board, showing the rules of the EHE Minecraft Server.

The board can be located above the post office in Zone One (the protected zone). Coordinates (which can be shown by pressing f3 (or fn and f3) on your keyboard) for the Law Board are : x-240, y100, z140.

All members are invited to view the laws, which where created to reassure members, following a poll of members desired laws for the server. More information, regarding the process used to determine the law's, can be found here.

Server Back Online: New Server Details, Same Version...

Well, the server is back online. Our apologies to everyone that couldn't get on.

It seems that the big boys at Microsoft took exception to the Static IP service provided by NoIP and as a consequence many names, including zapto.org are now not useable. Our thanks to Mortaxe3 again, this time for finding this out for us, so we could solve the "can't resolve server name" problem some members were reporting.

The new details, to enter into your multiplayer settings, are:

Essex Home Ed Minecraft Server
ehems.serveminecraft.net (or essexhomeed.serveminecraft.net, if you like to type!)

Although we thought we may have to update the server, to patch 1.7.10, as we thought that it may have been causing problems, there were issues with the update so I will now leave updating the server until it is offline tonight, if at all for 1.7.10.

So, until you hear differently, please ensure your minecraft launcher profile is set to load version 1.7.9, rather than being set at "load latest version". Otherwise, your minecraft launcher will try to load patch 1.7.10, which is unlikely to work.

Apologies again, hopefully, things will be sorted out by tomorrow at the latest.

Email us if you require anymore information at feedback@eheminecraft.co.uk.

Server offline for Update and Maintainance

Hi there Minecrafters,

As some members have had difficulty forgetting online since the new update and takeover of certain free no-IP name accounts, we will be updating the server to patch 7.1.10 and changing the logging in details.

Apologies for any inconvenience. Update to follow....

EHEM Server Laws, Guidance's and Code of Practice

Sorry for the wait guys, but here is the long awaited outcome of the EHE Minecraft Server Law's Poll!

In addition to the pre-existing 3 Considerations, there are now a new set of Four Guidances, as shown below. These will be further informed and influenced by the Suggestions 2, which were voted for in the Poll, to form our first Code of Practice.

The Three Considerations:
  1.       Do not take or break anything made/created by anyone else.
  2.       No bad language please, there may be young ones online.
  3.       Try to treat others as you would like them to treat you.

The Four Guidances are:-
  1. Players who deliberately break the rules will have their OP Rank reduced by 1
  2. Players that cannot have their OP rank reduced further will be removed from the server (whitelist) for a temporary period.
  3. Repeatedly breaking rules, or causing trouble, could result in a permanent ban.
  4. Players who are thought to have caused problems on the server, are able to choose to have a trial, should they wish to do so.

EHEMS Code Of Practice (2014):

Where the first Four Guidances do not suffice, the following Code of Practices will be referred to.

If a player causes deliberate damage or is abusive on the server (and refuses to respond or stop) they will automatically be removed from the server temporarily. If you believe that this has happened to you in error, please do email us at feedback@eheminecraft.co.uk and we will do all we can to help.

These Guidances and Code of Practice take effect on Essex Home Ed Minecraft Server from 1st July 2014

Many thanks to everyone that contributed to the creations of these guidances and codes, from writing, to voting. Special thanks to Mortaxe3, without whom, these may not yet exist.

If you have any further comments or suggestions, please do let us know.
